The YES program is an after school program for
children ages 6 to 13 receiving services from the
Department of Children and Families in parts of
Southeastern Massachusetts. This therapeutic
milieu program focuses on both the strengths of the
caretaker and the child while assisting children in
building self-esteem, social relationships, and
coping skills. The staff provides outreach and
referrals to community programs. They also work
very closely with social workers, therapists, and
other family supports in order to coordinate
treatment goals. This program is open after school
hours during the school year and from 9am-12pm
during school vacations and summer. Each location
also offers specialized programming for older
adolescents. It focuses on the development of
social and independent skills in adolescents. |
